Police ready to implement Oplan Kaluluwa in Zampen PDF Print E-mail

Police Regional Office-9  Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles has issued a memorandum dated October 24,  reminding all  PNP commanders and all national support units to implement “Oplan 18/2012 Kaluluwa” as the All Saints and All Souls Day are fast approaching.

Under Oplan 18/ 2012 Kaluluwa,  all PNP and NSU commanders are directed to strictly implement the “No  Liquor and No Blade/ Sharp Objects” police in all premises of cemeteries on Nov. 1-2,2012, to establish checkpoints, Community Police Assistant Center, security measures for the safety and security of people in the different convergence zones, Police Assistant Center in Airports, wharves and terminals,.

The directive also required police troopers to wear reflectorized traffic vest and to establish proper coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippine, non government units in the region.

Estilles also reminded top police commanders to double security measures to ensure that the people will observe All Saints and All Souls Day on Nov. 1-2 peacefully.

Meanwhile,  Highway Patrol Group 9 Chief Sr. Supt. Moises C. Pagaduan disclosed that he has organized Special Operation Teams in the different HPG Provincial Team Units in the region.

“We  are ready and we have establishedPassenger Assistant Centers in airports, wharves and terminals in the region in coordination  with other law enforcers. We have motorcycle riders to conduct checkspoints along national highways and cemeteries near the highways to assist traffic and people. We are on red alert as many people will go home to the different provinces, cities and municipalities and traditionally they will pay respect to  their departed loved ones and it is also Filipino tradition for family reunions,” Pagaduan said. — Allen Abastillas
