Bautista and Yabo sustained injuries in their bodies and were taken to the hospital.

A report reaching Daily Zamboanga Times disclosed that the two police officials were walking at the RTS compound when a kiwi bird crossed their path. The bird suddenly attacked them like a ferocious fighting cock.

The bird used its long beak and sharp claws in inflicting injuries on the two police officials .

It was learned that the bird escaped from the aviary in Pasonanca Park and ran towards the hilly part of Pasonanca as residents tried to catch it.
