Crisanto “Monsi” dela Cruz was the special guest of honor at the Philippine Air Force (PAF) graduation ceremonies recently at Edwin Andrews Airbase (EAAB), this city.

The president of Nuevo Zamboanga College (NZC) and Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), Zambasulta Chapter spoke on the “Importance of Strong Value Formation” among the young people and professionals.

“There is no substitue for hard work, sacrifice and discipline with honor and dignity,” he said. “I congratulate our young officers in your graduation and let me inspire you of the future that awaits you in the service of our country and people.”

Monsi also reminded the young graduates of the importance of gratitude to the Almighty God, formators and their respective parents and guardians.

He said: “Our country and our people await your dignified service in the hope that you inspire other young people to be vehicles of hope and channels of peace.”
During the affair, well-attended by hundreds of visitors and guests, Monsi was also honored with parade & review and as guest speaker.

Lt. Col. Jose Victor Vargas Jr., PAF commanding officer of the 6th Air Reserve Center, accompanied Monsi as he trooped along the young officers parade and review.

After the graduation and parade/review ceremonies, Monsi joined the officers and families at the Astoria regency in Pasonanca for the Knighting and Donning of Ranks of Officers 2012-2013.

Monsi, a congress aspirant of District 1 under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) and Zamboangueños for the Transformation of Zamboanga (ZTZ) founded by former congressman Romeo “Nonong” Jalosjos, is at present helping many college scholars finish their studies.

After graduation, he makes it a point to help the young graduates seek employment here and abroad.
