A retired army soldier and his school principal-wife complained to the police yesterday that a thief robbed their car stereo, cell phone and cash inside their multicab that was parked at the parking lot of a downtown mall.

The complainants, who requested anonymity, told the police that they parked their vehicle at the Mindpro Citimall around 11:58 a.m. and more than an hour later, they discovered the robbery.

The husband told the police that when they were about to board their vehicle, they found out that an unidentified man had opened the door of the multicab and stole the car stereo, cell phone and P200 cash.

The couple was disgusted when no one from the mall security personnel can give them information as to who was behind the theft.

Moreover, the couple was informed by the security personnel that the management was not liable for any losses despite the fact the incident took place inside the parking lot where vehicle owners pay by the hour. — Dan Toribio Jr.
