District 2. Rep. Erbie A. Fabian congratulated the police, and Task Force Zamboanga for a peaceful and orderly All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

Fabian said the police under Supt. James Mejia and TFZ under Col. Glenn Macasero have done exemplarily in maintaining the peace during the holidays.

Police and task force units reinforced security details in the various cemeteries and memorial parks in the city as thousands of city folk went out to pay their respects to their departed loved ones.

He also noted the efforts by the police and city traffic aides in managing the flow of vehicular traffic along the cemeteries of the city staying it was generally orderly.

The solon said while the peace was kept during the holidays, it is his ardent desire to see the city enjoy good peace and order conditions even if it were not holidays.

Fabian also went to the cemeteries along with his wife Melinda to pay their respects to their departed loved ones.

Meanwhile, newly designated Task Force Zamboanga Chief Army Col. Macasero last week paid a courtesy call on  Fabian at the latter’s office in Guiwan.

Macasero took over the command of Task Force Zamboanga from Col. Buenaventura Pascual last week after Pascual was promoted to the star rank and given a new assignment.

Macasero, a graduate of PMA Class 1984, where he and Col. Pascual were classmates, has been assigned in various military units all over the country and recently left the Army’s 101st Brigade before his assumption as commander last Friday in Camp Arturo Enrile,Malagutay which is the homebase of Task Force Zamboanga.

In his meet with Fabian, the incoming TFZ chief vowed to continue the programs and plans of his predecessor and to implement plans of his own which will be for the benefit of the people of Zamboanga City.

Fabian welcomed the colonel and wished him good luck and promise to extend full support as he did before to TFZ.
