Highway Patrol Group National Director Chief Supt. Arrazad Subong has ordered all HPG regional chiefs nationwide to intensify their anti-carnapping operations, to recover carnapped vehicles and arrest Ryan “Baktin” Yu of Davao City.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Moises C. Pagaduan said that Chief Supt. Subong issued the order during a closed door conference at Mandaya Hotel last Tuesday in Davao City that was attended by all HPG regional chiefs in Mindanao.

The conference was hosted by HPG-11 Chief Sr. Supt. Gregorio Pimentel.

Subong lauded Pimentel for the recovery of  more than 40  luxurious motorvehicles  including Chevrolet,  Toyota and others in hot pursuit operations.

The 40 motorvehicles were carnapped by Baktin. The government has offered a P5 million reward for the  capture of Baktin. Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has added P1 million to the reward money.

Pagaduan said all HPG regional chiefs were instructed  by Chief Supt. Subong to arrest Baktin by all means. Information circulating in Davao  City disclosed that Baktin is planning to ride a boat going to Indonesia or Malaysia via the backdoor.

The meeting  in Davao City  was very hectic. Pagaduan rushed to that city by land travel so that he can attend the  conference.

“It was a very hectic schedule conference. Roads in Matanog, Magundanao going to Aleosan, Pikit to Kidapawan City, Bansalan and Makillala area are cracked. It was better to travel to Davao City via Gensan to Koronadal and Cotabato City,” Pagaduan observed. “I’m glad that I was able to attend the hectic meeting.”  — Allen Abastillas
