Kind-hearted German gives Tugbungan school musical instruments PDF Print E-mail

The Tugubungan Elementary School received musical instruments from a kind hearted German national the other day.

The musical instruments composed of five drums, two xylophones, a flute, a harmonica and a tambourine were formally turned over to Mr. Inocente Saavedra, school principal, by Mrs. Grace Alvarez, a grade school teacher who represented Mr. Alois Brinkmann, the donor from Lingen, Germany.

The donation of the musical instruments was Brinkmann’s manifestation of concern and support to the students of the Tugbungan Elementary School especially those who are interested to learn playing the instruments in every school activities. Brinkmann is a music teacher in Germany.

Saavedra accepted the instruments that were heartily given to the school by the German friend.

Saavedra also expressed deepest gratitude to Brinkmann through Alvarez who exerted efforts to come up with the very good project.

The school principal vowed to take good care of the instruments, adding that he will hire an music instructor to teach the children how to play it.

Saavedra added that there are several pupils in their school who are interested in music and they have potential to become good musician.

The school official further said the musical instruments are a big help to the school and the students who want to learn playing them.

“It was the first time for the school to receive a kind of gift from a foreigner and it was through the help of Mrs. Alvarez,” Saavedra said.

Brinkmann is a close friend of Alvarez who recently visited the Tugbungan Elementary School where he personally shared his talent to the children by playing an electric organ.
