2 fishers lose boat engines to pirates PDF Print E-mail

Two fishermen lost their boat engines to two pirates off Bolong, this city last Tuesday morning.

Police identified the victims as Ronolfo Suarez y Palaca, 28, and Romelito Taghoy y Anoyan, 34, both residents of Sitio Tabuk, Bolong.

A police report disclosed that Suarez and Taghoy were aboard separate pumpboats on a fishing venture  when two gunmen aboard another boat appeared and pointed their guns at them while announcinga holdup.

The gunmen took the pumpboat engines and placed them inside their boat then sped towards Sacol Island.

The victims rushed to the Sangali Police Station to report the incident. -- Dan Toribio Jr.
