Jeepney driver killed, buddy hurt in Mampang gun attack PDF Print E-mail

A jeepney driver was killed while his conductor was wounded in a fresh gun attack in Mampang last Monday night.

The fatality was identified as Lando Taladji y Andog, 49, married. Wounded was Alhafidz Alfad.

A police report disclosed that Taladji and Alfad were washing the jeepney at Farmer’s Drive, Mampang around 11 p.m. when a gunman appeared and opened fire on them. Both sustained bullet wounds in their body and were taken to the hospital where Taladji was declared dead on arrival. Alfad was confined for further treatment.

Policemen conducted a hot pursuit operation that resulted in the arrest of Dexter Macapili y Custodio, 37, a pedicab driver.

Police investigators were still digging deeper to confirm whether or not Macapili was involved in the gun attack.

It was learned that Macapili was the former caretaker of the lot where Taladji and his family are staying.
