A 14-year-old girl was wounded when gunmen sprayed their house with bullets at Sitio Cansilayan, Lubigan last Sunday night.

Wounded was Marry Ann Delos Santos, a student of Lubigan National High School. She sustained a bullet wound in the left elbow and was taken to the hospital.

Members of the Delos Santos family were about to take supper around 7:40 p.m. when they heard gunfire coming from the dark outside their house. They dropped to the floor while the firing continued. Minutes later it was found out that Marry Ann was hit in the left elbow.

The gunmen left the place after the incident and the victim was rushed to the hospital by her relatives. She was confined for further treatment.

It was learned that last July 8, gunmen also opened fire on the Delos Santos house but no one was hit in that attack.

Police suspected that it was not Mary Ann who is the target of the gunmen. They believed the gunmen wanted to  kill another member of the family .
