A veteran reporter and an internet café customer were held up by two gunmen in San Jose last Monday night.

Police identified the victims as Ramon Ongchua Quin and Nicol Hernando.

A police report disclosed that Quin and Hernando were at the Speedy Charl Internet Café around 9 p.m. when two gunmen arrived and announced a heist at gunpoint.

The holduppers entered the room of the internet café owner but did not find any valuables. They then approached Quin and Hernando and took their cellphones and money.

Police said the holduppers fled with P250, an ATM card and two cellphones worth P12,000 and P10,000 respectively owned by Quin and Hernando.

Witnesses told the police that the holduppers escaped aboard a Honda XRM motorcycle. – Dan Toribio Jr.
