The group, Zamboanga Hermosa Cultura in the Performing Arts went to visit Fabian  to ask for his support for their various programs and projects here.

The group headed by Tita Torralba-Acuña is composed of over 50 active senior citizens who are into programs centered on health, beauty and productivity in society.

Torralba-Acuña said their organization is a non-stock and non-profit group aimed at empowering senior women who are mostly retired to be productive and continuing in their respective endeavors in society.

Among themselves they focus on staying active and positive in a life after their careers have concluded, engage in cultural presentations, hold seminars on productivity and beauty care while remaining active in the day to day affairs of the city.

Rep. Fabian promised to be one of their featured guests in a forthcoming event which the group will hold sometime middle of the month at Gemrae Catering and Food Services in Sta. Maria.

The women sector requires our equal attention, Fabian disclosed as he highlights the womenfolk contributions to society which has significantly increased over the years.

He said women are becoming emboldened to enter the mainstream making major inroads into what where strictly male domains in the past.

Fabian added he has always respected the womenfolk and encouraged the group to become active partners in building Zamboanga City into what the people aspire our city to become.
