Estilles commends Zambo Sur police for boy’s swift rescue PDF Print E-mail

Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles has commended Zamboanga del  Sur Police Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy and his men for the swift rescue  of a five-year-old boy who was abducted by for men in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur last Sunday morning.

Rescued was Denise Lian Solon of San Jose, Aurora municipality, Zamboanga del  Sur.

Estilles disclosed that Uy personally led the rescue operation that has also resulted in the arrest of the four abductors during a hot pursuit run in Sultan Naga Dimaporo two hours after the abduction at 7:30 a.m.

The successful operation was carried out in coordination with soldiers of the Army’s Light Armor Battalion.

The  abductors were identified as Amrad Marohom Punao, 24, Aimam Marohom Ampatua, 39, , Daud Ampatua and one policeman identified as PO1 Nasrodin Marohom Ampatua of the Provincial Public Safety Company, Lanao del Norte.

Estilles said the abduction of Denise Lian was related to the Aman Futures pyramiding scam. It was learned that the mother of the boy was an agent of the Aman group and the abductors were victims of the scam.

Uy reported to Estilles that the abductors want to take the money they invested in Aman Group through agent Mrs. Mishele Solon, but the latter can not longer produced the money that were invested by the four suspects.         According to investigation, the abductors went to the Solon house and asked the money from Mrs. Solon, but she could not produce the money. A heated argument ensued and PO1 Nasrodin Ampatua pistol whipped Mrs. Solon in the head using a 45 caliber pistol. The four men then seized the boy and dragged him to a Honda  Civic car that sped toward Sultan Naga Dimaporo.

Estilles revealed that the police in Zamboanga del Sur is still on high alert because of the Aman pyramiding scam.
