Ayala folk thank Celso for P136M infra projects PDF Print E-mail

Speaking on behalf of the barangay officials and residents of Ayala, Elbert “Bong” Atilano on Monday thanked the city government through Mayor Celso Lobregat for having implemented and completed a total of P136.339 million worth of various infrastructure projects in Ayala over the last six years.

“Alegre kita kay tiene ya tamen nuevo proyecto ya dale al gobierno local aki na barangay de Ayala, el nuevo fitness center y ta rindi kita miles de gracias con el di aton Alcalde del ciudad por el desuyo esfuerzo para dale proyecto na de atun barangay,” Atilano said on behalf of Ayala Barangay Chairman Diosterides Librero during the inauguration of the newly constructed fitness center amounting to P2.4 million in Ayala Monday.

“Tiene ya kita police station, barangay hall y el de aton lying-in clinic. Ciguro el falta ya lang amo el de aton fire station. Ojala, mayor puede tu busca manera para el di amon fire station,” said Atilano, a resident of Ayala.

In his message, Lobregat said his administration had completed a total of P136.339 million worth of various projects in Ayala since 2007.

He said in 2007 Ayala had P15.5 million worth of projects that included a two-storey six-classroom building amounting to P3.9 million at Ayala National High School, a two-storey six-classroom building costing P4 million at Ayala Central School, a drainage system of P2.4 million and rehabilitation of barangay hall in the amount of P1.9 million.

In 2008, a total of P13.7 million worth of projects were completed in Ayala, the biggest bulk of which went to that construction of school buildings amounting to more than P10 million, construction of lying-in clinic in the amount of P1.9 million and slope protection structures.

Barangay Ayala was also blessed with P20.7 million worth of projects in 2009, which included irrigation structures, another two-storey building with eight classrooms in the amount of P8.8 million, slope protection and road networks.

A total of P16.6 million worth of projects were completed in Ayala in 2010, most of which were school buildings, farm-to-market roads and drainage system. In 2011, the barangay had P11.2 million projects and more than P5 million in 2012.

Ongoing projects include the construction of three-storey 27-classroom building amounting to P29.3 million at Ayala Central School.

Present during the barangay health center turnover Monday afternoon were Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde, Councilors Nonong Guingona, Myra Paz Abubakar, Noning Biel and Rogelio Valesco Jr., City Engineer Luis Despalo, City Health Officer Rodel Agbulos, Ayala Police Station Chief PCInsp. Edilberto Alvarez and guests former councilors Charlie Mariano and Roel Natividad, former City Social Welfare Officer Francisco Barredo, Zamcelco Board President Bong Atilano, Zone III Chairman Tito Espiritusanto, young entrepreneur BG Guingona and Zamboanga Homeowners and People’s Organization President Violeta Alejandro, Red Cross Administrator Vic Liozo Jr. and former Health Undersecretary Dr. Milagros Fernandez.  — Vic Larato
