A blast fisherman was killed while his companion was injured when an improvised explosive prematurely exploded while they were fishing off Sangali last Monday morning.
Killed was Mabini Jalilon y Saddam, 34, married, of Badjao Village, Sangali. Injured was Sonny Boy Pailuddin, married, of the same place.

Initial investigation showed that Jalilon and Pailuddin were fishing aboard a banca around 11 a.m. when a home-made bomb they were carrying prematurely exploded in their possession.

Jalilon sustained multiple injuries in his body and died on the spot while Pailuddin was wounded in the face and was taken to the hospital.
Pailuddin’s left ear was almost cut off.
