A 29-year-old man was injured in the right knee after a handgun he was holding accidentally went off along Veterans Avenue last Wednesday morning.
Henjie Ponso y Misa, single of Pasodip, Pasonanca, was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation disclosed that Ponso was at the boarding house of Carina Tee at Murga St., Veterans Avenue where  he took from the cabinet a.38 cal. revolver owned by his father.

Police gathered that the gun accidentally slipped from Ponso’s hand and fell on the floor, where it went off with the bullet hitting Ponso’s right knee.
Although wounded, Ponso went out of the house to seek help from neighbors.

Policemen led by Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines conducted an ocular investigation and recovered a .38 cal. revolver with one spent shell in the cylinder.
The gun was placed under police custody.

Investigators said the owner of the gun could not produce papers legalizing the possession of the said firearm. – Dan Toribio Jr.
