Man shot, stabbed dead in Suterville PDF Print E-mail

A 26-year-old man was shot and stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in the interior of Suterville at dawn yesterday.

John Jeffrey Ilanga, single, sustained multiple gunshot and stab wounds in the body.

Police said that Ilanga was found bloodied on the ground along Monsenay Drive, Suterville around 1 a.m.

He was rushed by some residents to the hospital where he was declared dead by the attending physicians.

Investigators recovered six spent and one slug of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Police theorized that Ilanga was walking along the dimly lit part of the road where unidentified persons who armed with a .45 caliber pistol and a knife attacked him.
Investigators believe the victim was known to the killers and they had a heated argument which preceded the killing.

OIC City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo disclosed that the City Police Office’s  Investigation Section headed by Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines is still working on the case.

Meanwhile, an unidentified man was found dead at Sitio Sabana, Dita last Tuesday night. The victim sustained a gunshot wound in the head.
