Highway Patrol Group-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Moises C. Pagaduan personally taped and muzzled the barrel of the guns of his HPG men last Tuesday and Wednesday during his command visit to HPG Provincial Units  in Camp Abelon, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del  Sur and Zamboanga Sibugay.

Pagaduan directed his men to be extra vigilant and alert as the celebration of Christmas is fast approaching.

He said that guns should be fired against criminals ,lawless persons and enemy of the state, and not indiscriminately on any occasion or celebration because it will cause harm to the lives and limbs of innocent people.

Pagaduan said taping the barrel of his men’s guns is  a reminder that they should protect and preserve lives.

The HPG-9 chief directed Sr. Insp. Dexter Diones, Zamboanga del  Sur HPG chief, and Insp. Mervin Clarit, Zamboanga del Norte HPG chief, to intensify their anti-carnapping operations and double their efforts in monitoring and checking the entry and exit of motorvehicles in their area because  Dipolog and Pagadian City are crossroad cities where volumes of motorvehicles come and go or passing the area from other cities. — Allen Abastillas
