Estilles lauds cops for peaceful Xmas in region PDF Print E-mail

Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles has commended policemen under his command for a job well done in ensure peaceful and orderly celebration of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the region.

“We are always  on red alert until the celebration of New Year’s Eve. Our forces from the different commands down to themunicipal level have standby duties 27 hours a day ready to answer any call to ensure the celebration is peaceful. Eveything in manageable,”Estilles declared.

He reminded policemen not to fire their guns illegally if there are no lawless elements or criminals or enemy of the state provoking or threatening their lives or their duties.

“Policemen’s  guns are to be used to protect helpless civilians or any government properties. They are already responsible on what to do on rules of engagement. If they fire their guns illegally or indiscrimantely and it is found out during investigation, they will be automatically dismissed from the service after a due process,” Estilles said. — Allen Abastillas
