32 city gov’t employees receive Service Award PDF Print E-mail

At least 32 state employees recently received the most coveted Service Award for having rendered 25 years of uninterrupted service to the city government of Zamboanga and the public it serves.

Mayor Celso Lobregat personally handed over the 24-karat gold ring and a coffee table book to each of the awardees during the city government’s Christmas party on Dec. 20 at the Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum in Tetuan.

The giving of Service Award that goes with a 24-karat gold ring and a coffee table book, paying tribute to the awardees, started in 2008. It is an initiative of the city government under Lobregat’s administration that every employee desires to receive.

This year’s service awardees included seven employees of the City Health Office, namely; Fe ST Alvarez, Teresita L. Chiong, Merylie P. Limen, EloisaB. Medina, Ma. Rosalie M. Mendoza, Cecilia M. Naraga and Corazon V. Pagotaisidro; Reuben Samuel S. Apostol, Eligio R. Jalon Jr., Gonzalo V. Grafia, Edgardo A. Pascua and Heraclio A. Yu, all of the City Engineer’s Office.

The City Treasurer’s Office produced five service awardees. They were Claribel C. Bais, Francisco Y. Macias Jr., Rosemary S.A. Manalo, Pamela B. Ting and Rene M. Lacandalo.

Other awardees were Nelson N. Aizon and George J. Fernandez, both of the City Mayor’s Office; George C. Aguilar and Emefrida F. Nanquil, both of the Office of the City Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod; Amelia F. Amar and Joel P. Pilanga, both of the City Administrator’s Office; Renor M. Alvarez, of the City Human Resource Management Office; Ma. Jessica F. Dagamanuel, City Civil Registrar; Ma. Rita Z. Enriquez, City General Services; City Veterinarian Dr. Mario Ariolla and Antonio B. Campo, also of the City Veterinarian’s Office; Elinor M. Adora, City Social Welfare and Development Office; Gregorio E. Santos, City Agriculturist Office; Alberto P. Quisay and Francisco A. Guevarra Jr., both of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office.

Assisting in the awarding ceremony were City Human Resource Management Officer Erlina Sanchez, her Assistant Bovic Lucero and staff and other city officials. — Vic Larato
