Servant leader Monsi dela Cruz said yesterday that he was praying and wishing that the City of Zamboanga would somehow overcome its current problems.

“Having traveled here and abroad, it is my humble prayer and wish that our beloved city would somehow overcome the perception or reality of the bad peace and order situation, problems of shortage of power, lack of concrete business incentives and tax holidays for investors willing to bring concrete development, affording our dear people opportunities for jobs and diversified business undertaking,” Monsi said.

He said that this can only be possible if the leaders are forward looking, visionaries with strong political will, with the courage and charisma to really walk the talk knowing that no matter how seemingly talented they are, they simply cannot do it alone.

“They would, the expertise and suggestions of competent managers/expert competent in their field of endeavor. That’s how the Binays, the Dutertes, the Osmeñas made it together with other leaders who believe on the expertise of other talented people in preventing shortages of power, maintaining the peace, enticing investors to come and bring development and more capital infusion,” said Monsi.

Monsi, an aspirant for congressman in District 1, stressed that “No one man, no matter how talented can do it alone,” Adding that “If given the chance to serve, I will bring the wealth of experience from the private sector and connections and travels abroad.” — HG
