Hundreds of residents in the city from all walks of life were feted in the series of gift-giving activities prepared this yuletide season by District 2 Rep. Erbie A. Fabian.

Fabian played Santa as he showed the real meaning of Christmas by way of giving to the less fortunate and sharing blessings to underprivileged residents of the city.

Days before Christmas, Fabian initiated gift-giving activities in various locations in coordination with the various barangays, religious organizations and parishes in the city.

Hundreds of indigent residents of Barangay Tetuan went home with a smile in their faces when Fabian and  the Knights of Columbus of Tetuan Parish feted the poor residents with Christmas gifts and grocery items for their “Noche Buena”  last December 22. It was followed the next day by the gift-giving in Barangay Talon-Talon in coordination with the barangay council wherein some 300 families went home happy with gifts and grocery items.

Fabian also conducted his annual gift-giving activities in Barangay Mercedes wherein some 500  residents identified by the parish church received grocery items and give-aways from Fabian.

Mercedes Parish Priest Fr. Ben Villaflores thanked Fabian for his initiative for the parishioners.

Villaflores said he hopes Fabian can continue with his advocacies and generosity to the people of the city.

Today, the solon is set to continue with his gift-giving activities in the orphanage in Talon-Talon, the abandoned children and the home for the elderly which is also part of his tradition in the spirit of giving and sharing this Christmas season. – Bhong Simbajon
