FESAGS-9 warns vs selling illegal firecrackers PDF Print E-mail

Chief Insp. Mark Marin Azur, Chief, Firearms Explosives, Security Agencies and Guard Section-9 (FESAGS-9) of the Police Regional Office-9, yesterday warned businessmen against selling illegal manufactured firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices.

Azur said that selling of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices without valid permit from the Firearms and Explosives Office, Camp Crame Quezon City,  is prohibited by law.
FESAGS-9 under the direct supervision of Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles conducted a series of joint operations in Pagadian City, Dipolog City,  Ipil Zamboanga  Sibugay and seized assorted firecrackers and pyrotechnics from different stores selling the items without pertinent documents or permits.

The Department of Health and the different local government units in the country are conducting massive campaign against the illegal use of firecrackers and pyrotechnics because of its danger to the health especially that of children.

Azur advised parents to celebrate New Year with simplicity and avoid accident from firecrackers and pyrotechnics.
