Police forwarded yesterday to the City Prosecutor Office a case of violation of Republic Act 8484,against a Filipino-German who was using a fictitious name and concealing his true name and in possession of blade weapon while buying jewelry items using a credit card the other day.

OIC-City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo said the case was lodged against Jerry Rosales y Jax.

A police report disclosed that Rosales went to the “Jewels by Audrey” at the second floor Mindpro Citimall where he bouight a 21k Saudi bangle and an 18k Saudi ring worth P183,140 using a counterfeited city bank credit card.

The store management later received a report from the bank that Rosales was using a fictitious name in the credit card.

On the same day, Rosales later returned to Mindpro and proceeded to another jewelry shop at the third floor to buy more jewelry items.

Without his knowledge, the store was a sister store of “Jewelry by Aubrey”. The management sought the assistance of the police that led to the arrest of Rosales.

Policemen recovered from Rosales’ possession several credit cards in the name of Jerry Rosales and a driver license with the name of Mc Delbert Arriola y Rosia of Barangay Zone 3, Koronadal City and a four-inch knife. He was detained and was taken yesterday to the City Prosecutor Office for inquest. – Dan Toribio Jr.
