Beng unveils P2 million footbridge in Zone 2 PDF Print E-mail

House Deputy Speaker Beng Climaco-Salazar Tuesday unveiled a P2 million footbridge project she funded for barangay Zone 2 in line with her commitment to exert all efforts to augment the programs of the local government and ultimately help alleviate the plight of the constituents.

Funded through her Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), the footbridge is one of the priority projects identified by Zone 2 officials during consultations initiated by the lady solon to ensure that projects and programs by the congressional office are truly the needs of the people.

Climaco said the project is a gift to Zone 2 constituents and is implemented with the intention of helping improve the lives of the people in the area.

She vowed to continue undertaking other programs and projects through effective networking efforts with the national government, local government and the barangays.

All efforts, she said will be done in line with her thrust on participatory governance.

As this developed, Zone 2 chairman Nonito Aranas expressed appreciation to Climaco for continuously supporting and assisting her constituents in District I. He emphasized that the project will definitely bring about comfort and convenience to the residents whose houses are located in the interior part of the barangay.

He pointed out that the projects initiated by Climaco are truly beneficial and helpful. He too vowed to continue cooperating and supporting the plans and programs of the District I congresswoman.

Also present during the inauguration January 11 were some members of the City Council, Engr. Gonzales of the District Engineer’s Office, Zone 2 barangay councilmen and the constituents. -- Rham Joseph Cabasag
