Celso distributes post-Xmas gifts to daycare kids, elderly PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Celso Lobregat together with Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde and other city officials yesterday motored to Barangay Sinunuc in the west coast and distributed what could now be post-Christmas presents to daycare centers and senior citizens.

At least five daycare centers in the west coast received 5 kiddie tables and 18 chairs each. These were the daycare centers in barangays Recodo, Ayala, Tulungatung,
Pamucutan and Cawit (Zone 2).

The distribution was conducted at the covered court of Sinunuc where   50 selected senior citizens also received 3-kilo rice each, courtesy of Senator TG Guingona. The beneficiaries came from barangays Sinunuc, Recodo, Maasin, Ayala and Cawit.

Also joining the chief executive were Councilors Rudy Lim, Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar, Gerky Valesco and Luis Biel together with City Social Welfare and Development officer-in-charge Evelyn Las Marias, former councilor Charlie Mariano, former CSWDO Francisco Barredo, Violy Alejandro, Art Onrubia, Nardz Sampang, Bong Atiliano and Tito Espiritsanto.

Meanwhile, Lobregat also assisted the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWDO) Regional Office 9 in the distribution of its disaster relief assistance to families who were affected by typhoon Lawin sometime in September 2012.

Families, whose houses were totally damaged, received P10,000 cash each, while those with partially-damaged houses received P5,000 cash each.

The beneficiaries came from the coastal communities of barangays Ayala, Cawit, Recodo, Maasin, Sinunuc and Baluno.— Vic Larato
