Manicahan NHS gets building from WMPC PDF Print E-mail

The Western Mindanao Power Corporation (WMPC), in collaboration with the Conrado and Ladislawa Foundation, Inc., recently turned over a fully-furnished Home Economics building to the Manicahan National High School.

Tirso G. Santillan, Jr., chief executive officer and executive vice president of WMPC, was in Zamboanga city last December to personally hand over the building as part of
the Alcantara Foundation’s social responsibility program.

Receiving the building was Julieto Fernandez, assistant division schools superintendent, in the presence of Manicahan barangay Chairman Crisencio Natividad, school Principal Jesus Solon and WMPC Plant Manager Jose Marie Torrejon.

In another occasion, WMPN turned over a teacher’s chair, ergonomatic chairs and school chairs (cofta) to the Culianan Learning Center E-Impact. Receiving the donation was school Principal Loliza Laguna.

Also present during the turn-over were Oscar Benedict Contreras, communications and stakeholder relations manager of the Alcantara Group of Companies, consultant Engineer Ruben Conti and Mary Shower Megrenio, HRA specialist. — BJ
