Philippine Center on Transnational Crimes National Director Felizardo Manalo Serapio Jr.  paid a visit last Friday at PCTC Western Mindanao Field Office in Camp  Gen. Eduardo Batalla.

During his visit, Serapio had a conference with Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Juanito B. Vaño and PCTC Western Mindanao Field Office Chief Chief Insp. Alexander Lorenzo.

Serapio said he came to see the general welfare and situation on the ground of his operatives in the different field offices.

Serapio directed Lorenzo to intensify their operations against illegal recruiters and human traffickers in the region and coordinate with the different government agencies in the campain. 

Human traffickers and illegal recruiters.have made Zamboanga City, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi  as jump-off  point for victims who are brought  to Malaysia and other foreign  countries. Most of the victims are people from  the different provinces and cities in Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon.

Zamboanga City Based Anti-Human  Trafficking Task  Force recently rescued  85 persons who are victims of human trafficking, bound for Malaysia.

Serapio said that PCTC will soon  have a new office in Davao City.  — Allen abastillas
