As the deadline of re-assignment of police commanders and police personnel nationwide ended midnight of January 15 for the election ban,  Police Regional Office-9 Director  Chief Supt. Juanito B. Vaño carried out a reshuffle of the different police stations in the region last December.

Vaño said that Sr. Supt. Thomas Abellar of PRO9 Chief of Finance Division assumed last Jan. 11 as officer-in-charge of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office based in Camp Abelon Pagadian City. Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy who was the OIC last year replacing Sr. Supt. William T. Manzan will return to the PR-9 headquarters based in this city.

“I will study the situation of Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office if there is a need to re-assign Sr. Supt. James Mejia who was the former OIC of Zamboanga City Police Office and is now the Provincial Director of Zamboanga del Norte,” Vaño said.

Police station chiefs from the different municipalities and cities in the region will also reshuffled, according to Vaño.
