Mayor Celso Lobregat yesterday cited the launching of the Philippine National Police Service Store System (PNPSSS) program in partnership with Southway Department Store and participating business establishments in the city.

The program aims to grant police officers and jail personnel in Zamboanga City a 5% discount on grocery items at Southway Department Store.

“Thank you to the PNP for this initiative and most especially thank you for your continuous and untiring efforts in enforcing law and order in the city,” Lobregat said, adding that the policemen and their dependents have great needs for low cost but quality products and services.

He said with the rising prices of virtually all basic commodities, the PNPSSS will be of great assistance to its intended beneficiaries in stretching their purchasing power while at the same time assuring them of the quality of their purchases. Regardless of one’s employment status, all consumers wish to avail of a good bargain without sacrificing quality or endangering their safety.

Present during the launching were Police Deputy Regional Director Sr. Supt. Ramon Ochotorena, the officials of Southway Department Store and participating establishments. — Vic Larato
