District 2 Congressman and mayoralty aspirant Erbie A. Fabian yesterday turned over two portable mini rice and corn millers to farmers in Barangay Manicahan.

Fabian handed over the two millers to Manicahan Barangay Chairman Cresencio Natividad who also turned it over to two farmer associations from Bunguiao and Buenavista.

One of the two millers was received by Francisco Lubaton, president of a farmers association from Bunguiao while the second was taken by Antonio Jimenez, association president from Buenavista.

In his simple message during the turn-over ceremony, Fabian said the two portable rice and corn millers were intended for farmers involved in rice and corn farming in their respective places as they can use it without bringing their harvested crops to big rice and corn commercial millers.

Fabian stressed the important role of the farmers in the community, saying they provide food for everybody.

The Department of Agriculture and the City Agriculture Office were the ones responsible in identifying the areas where there are farmer associations that need the portable millers.

The farmers/recipients along with Natividad expressed gratitude to Fabian for his continuous support to the people especially to the poor farmers.

Also present during the turn-over ceremony were Mr. Teodulo Adora, assistant City Agriculturist, Jesus Basilio of the City Agriculture Office and several other officials. – Dan Toribio Jr.
