Celso distributes PhilHealth cards to 8,857 beneficiaries PDF Print E-mail

Mayor CelsoLobregat together with Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde and some city councilors yesterday morning distributed PhilHealth insurance cards to 8,857 mostly indigent beneficiaries from the different barangays of this city.

Lobregat said the distribution of PhilHealth cards through the sponsorship of the city government started during the incumbency of the late Mayor Maria Clara Lobregat.
Of the number, 5,557 were indigent beneficiaries, 265 former barangay offiials, 205 persons with disabilities, 139 retired barangay nutrition scholars, 211 members of the

Rural Improvement Club, 399 senior citizens, 1,305 members of the urban poor groups, 155 job order employees of the city government and 64 barangay nutrition scholars.

Also recipients of the city government-sponsored PhilHealth insurance were 20, Badjaos from Sangali, 12 Cafgu members, 4 child care workers, 22 clean and green workers, 3 crime watch members, 8 deportees, 5 members of the media, 23 press members, SCAA members from Lanzones, Limpapa, Tolosa and Vitali, and 72 traditional midwives (trained hilots), among others.

Assisting in the mayor were his brother Jomar, Councilors Mike Alavar, Rudy Lim, Nonong Guingona, Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar, Percival Ramos, Gerky Valesco, Noning

Biel and Eddie Saavedra together with former councilors Charlie Mariano and Elong Natividad, BG Guingona, Art Onrubia, Kit Barredo, Nardz Sampang and City Hall Chief Executive Assistant Mario Roca.
