An inmate of the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center died in the hospital after complaining of short breath at dawn yesterday.

City Jail Warden Chief Insp. Julius Arro identified the inmate as Domiciano Dela Cruz.

Arro said that based on initial physician’s finding, Dela Cruz died of cardiac arrest.

The city jail warden disclosed that Dela Cruz had complained of short breath at dawn yesterday prompting jail personnel to give apply aid then rushed him later to the hospital.

However, physicians declared Dela Cruz dead on arrival.

The city jail warden added that Dela Cruz had not gotten get sick before he complained of short breath.
