Four suspected stolen motorcycles were recovered by men of the Highway Patrol Group 9  led by Chief Insp. Alejandro Ortiz Espiritu III  at the local wharf Wednesday last week.

The four motorcycles were aboard a motorlaunch vessel bound for Jolo, Sulu.

Espiritu disclosed that a certain Ambong had applied for a motorvehicle clearance for shipment of the four motorcycles for Jolo.

MC clearance officer SPO1 Wilfredo Ator checked the  documents with the HPG Verification Information  System that links all HPG units nationwide and found out that two of the motorcycles are under the hold order list and the two others have spurious documents.

Espiritu and his men proceeded to the local wharf and seized the four motorcycle — two Honda color Black and Black/Gray with plate numbers 6845QY and 9121OQ with spurious doucments; two Suzuki color Black/white and Red with plate numbers 1924WR and 20886IE color Red under hold order list number ( 20130114 ) and (20130111).

HPG Regional Chief Supt. Severino B. Agustin ordered Espiritu to impound the four motorcycles at Camp Batalla and conduct thorough investigation to determine the real owners and status of the four motorcycles.

He also instructed Espiritu to send an accomplishment report to National Headquarter in Camp Crame. — Allen Abastillas
