An 18-year-old woman lost her money and mobile phone to three snatchers near the San Bernardino Bridge in Tetuan at dawn last Monday.

Police identified the victim as Grace Ponce y Dinipon of Tetuan.

Ponce had borrowed a motorcycle from her friend around 4:30 a.m. and went on a joyride. At San Bernardino Bridge, three men aboard another motorcycle blocked her path and grabbed her shoulder bag.

The snatchers sped away after taking the bag, while Ponce rushed to the Tetuan Police Station to report the incident.

Ponce told the police that her bag contained P3,000, Nokia cellular phone and other personal belongings.

The victim failed to recognize the snatchers.

Police believe that the perpetrators were also behind similar snatchings in the past where the victims were women.
