The Land Transportation Office-9’s revenue collection in year 2012 reached P 326,806,620.49 compared to only P302,509,264.33 in 2011 or an increase or variance of P 24,297,364.16.

LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton disclosed that the increase in revenue collection for 2012  is equivalent to eight percent. The registration of motorvehicles has also reached 272,912,786.69 for  year 2012 compared to only 249,341,619,33 in 2011.

Meanwhile, Abaton reiterated the directive of Undersecretary Virginia P. Torres for motorvehicles owners and drivers to put-up  early warning devices with reflectorized colors so that they will not cause accident while drivers are fixing their units in streets or highways nationwide.

We are calling on all drivers to use early warning device with reflectors when they are fixing their motorvehicles along the street or highway so that accident can be prevented. It is nationwide road advocacy of Usec Torres,” Abaton said.

Abaton is set to preside the 1st Quarter Regional Senior Transportation District Officers in Pagadian City on Monday  February 11, 2013 at the LTO regional office in Pagadian City.

In another development, Abaton  passed the Civil Executive Senior Officer ( CESO)  examination last December 2, 2012 given in the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City  by the Civil Service Commission. — Allen Abastillas
