Servant leader and UNA congressional candidate Monsi dela Cruz visited his friends and supporters in the west coast and gave insurances, college scholarships to poor deserving students of Nuevo Zamboanga College, Inc. and medicines for indigents.

“Everyday for him is an opportunity to bring positive messages of hope, by touching the lives of many people. He never tires in his quest to make difference in people’s lives using his own limited resources,” said Billy Gongora, president of the group called Young Professionals.

“Yes, 35 years of dedicated public service to community in different capacities: constructing landmark buildings(Cathedral and Centro Pastoral), Schools, Churches, livelihood projects and medical outreach in different barangays,” Gongora said. In Barangay Ayala, knowing that everything comes from God, he gave all the lots he had at the Bernardo subdivision to be shared with poor families and has no regrets. Having founded a college in the heart of the city and the east coast with complete facilities, Monsi has given many scholarships to deserving students with opportunities to work here and abroad.”

“Monsi has not only given ‘fish and rice to people’, but has taught many of our young people to ‘fish and work with honor and dignity for a lifetime’,” Gongora emphasized. “His life and career is a journey of hope and inspiration. A victim of black propaganda yet patient and forgiving. It is for this reason that he has been greatly blessed, loved and respected by the community at large.”

“His commitment to be of service to the community and people remains constant and strong. He attributes his staying power and strength from the Almighty God. We, the young professionals are fortunate to have such a dedicated servant-leader who never tires inspiring and sharing his blessings to others in need. May he be blessed with long life, perseverance and great success,” Gongora added.
