The bodies of two dead men were fished out of the mangrove area in Talon-Talon yesterday morning.

Tetuan Police Station commander Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña disclosed that the victims sustained bullet wounds in their head.

Acuña said the bodies were recovered by some residents.in between Layag-Layag and Logoy Grande.

Acuña said the bodies were probably thrown at a nearby place after they were killed as no one from the place could identify them.

The victims were hogtied with packing tape and they have no identification cards in their possession.

Residents said they did not hear any gunshots before the two bodies were found. They believed that the victims were killed elsewhere and their bodies were dumped in the sea, with waves probably sweeping them towards the mangrove area.

The bodies were brought to a funeral parlor for post mortem examinations.

Police have appealed to the public to check at the funeral parlor for any relatives who went missing recently. — Dan Toribio Jr.
