Land Transportation Office Zamboanga City District Office under Head Officer Noel M. Noche has increased its revenue collection last year by almost P3 million as compared to year 2009.

LTO-Zamboanga City collected P 81,305,102.54 last year, compared to 2009’s P78,333,106.83, or a variance of 4% or equivalent to P 2,971,995.71.

Noche said there was an increase in the acquisition of motorvehicles in Zamboanga City last year to 61,318 as compared to only 58,267 in 2009 or 2.17 % hike.

The acquisition of government motorvehicles has also been increased to 1,500 compared to 1,414 in 2009; for-hire motorvehicles by private persons engaged in transportation business registered at 8,327, compared to 7,696 in 2009 or a variance of  631 or eight percent.

Noche also said that the highest vehicle acquisition by people in the city are motorcycles. It went up to a total of 47,041 units. Acquization of motorcycles by private persons numbers 41,499, for government — 544 and for hire — 5,098. — Allen Abastillas
