A woman vendor was hacked and wounded along Mercado St. last Thursday night.

Wounded was Rosalyn Jikiril y Hamsid, 27, single, of Baliwasan.

Police said Rosalyn sustained hack wounds in the right arm and neck and wasrushed to the hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation disclosed that Jikiril was pushing her cart around 7:45 p.m. when an unidentified man armed with a bolo appeared from behind and hacked her at a dimly lit part of Mercado St.

The bolo wielder escaped after the incident.

Helpful people rushed Rosalyn to the Zamboanga City Medical Center for treatment.

Investigators led by Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines have mounted a thorough investigation for the immediate arrest of the assailant. – Dan Toribio Jr.
