According to a source, Fabella was kept in captivity in Sulu for more than a month.

Fabella was seized by six gunmen at their residence-cum restaurant in Maasin at past 6 p.m. last January 11, 2013.

Fabella’s son had engaged in a fight with the kidnappers during the abduction,  but was over powered by the latter. who dragged the hostage to a waiting pumpboat.

Two of the kidnappers who acted as “look-out” boarded a motorcycle and sped towards the city proper.

Fabella was kidnapped more than two weeks after teacher Flordeliza Ongchua was released also in Jolo last December 24, 2012.

Ongchua was seized at their residence in Labuan last November 13, 2012, by some 15 gunmen.

Her kidnappers aboard two pumpboats brought Ongchua to Sulu.
