The Bureau of Customs Zamboanga City District Office has earned revenues amounting to P2,109,067 on in 17 days of operations this month.

District Officer-in-Charge  Abubakar M.  Hamad disclosed that his office has so far surpassed its target revenue collection for the month of January by P109,067. He expects the collection to increase more by the end of the month.

On the other hand, Hamad said the collection for the month of December 2010 which is P4.488,201 million is higher than the target revenue collection for December 2010 which is only P3 million.

Meanwhile, Hamad also called on importers to pay their taxes with the Zamboanga City District Office because it is here where they operate their businesses but not in the port of Manila.
