The Southern City Colleges bullpups, champions of the recently concluded regional finals will leave this Friday for Manila to participate in the Sea Oil NBTC Under-17 National finals next month.

The bullpups of coach Edny Morones will join all other winners in the cluster and regional eliminations in the championships round slated for March 1 to 4 at the Ultra Gymnasium in Pasig.

NBTC City Coordinator and SBP Area Head-Trustee Pedro Alfaro Jr. said the Southern City Colleges quintet hopes to make a better impression of themselves in the 2nd consecutive year they are representing the city in the national finals.

Southern City Colleges earned the right to make the finals trip after they trounced Ferndale International School in the city eliminations finals earlier this month 100-71 at the Mayor VitalianoAgan Memorial Coliseum in Tetuan.

The local Sea Oil NBTC eliminations drew the participation of 10 teams from the different schools here in the city.

The local eliminations was staged by the FederacionBasketbolista de Zamboanga and the SBP under Alfaro with the games being supervised by Tournament competition chair Joel Quintanes and assisted by Ferdinand Bernabe.
