Sun Cellular will put up 400 additional cellsites in the country for the service and benefit of its subscribers.

During the launching of Sun Magic Zone Mindanao Exclusive for Mindanao last Thursday, January 20, 2011, held at Microtel Hotel in Lanang, Davao City, Atty. Bill Pamintuan, Senior Vice President- Legal Services & HRD Corporate Secretary and Head of Digital One, told newsmen that Sun Magic Zone Mindanao is exclusive for Mindanao. 

Pamintuan said at present Sun Cellular have 500 cellsites in the country, and by the end of this year, Sun cellular expects to have more than 900 cellsites.

He said that the putting up of more cellsites is to serve better to its clients and subscribers.
The construction of more cellsites for Mindanao is based on the fact that Mindanao have big economic potentials and marketing. is good market for Sun Cellular in Mindanao.
Pamintuan learned that the commercial buses in Region 9 serve for 24 hours rotating in the province with 30-minute gap travel connecting Zamboanga City to Cagayan De Oro City.

He was also informed that the region has Fantasyland in Dapitan City similar to Disneyland and Zamboanga City is the sardines capital of the country.

“We will validate all these information about Region 9 and will talk to the leaders of the region before the putting up of more cellsites in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

“Our target will be in parity with our competitors. We will have good packages for Mindanao,” Pamintuan said.

He explained that unlike other providers, Sun Cellular’s load, if not consumed within 24 hours, does not expire and instead be accumulated if the subscriber buys another load.
He assured that the Sun Celluar load is well secured.
