2 killed in fresh shooting incidents in Zambo City PDF Print E-mail

Two persons were killed in separate gun attacks in Tugbungan and Lunzuran last Sunday.

Randy Gimarangan y Quiluiti, 31, a laborer of Nancy Fishing was shot to death by James Medallo around 5p.m.

Gimarangan sustained gunshot wounds in the right cheek and was taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.

Initial investigation disclosed that Gimarangan was shot by Medallo at close range for still unknown reason.

Police said that no spent shell of any firearm caliber found at the crime scene as the gunman escaped after the gun attack.

Four hours later, Asthroper Bautista, 18, of Comet St., Tumaga Porcentro, was shot dead by one of two men riding a motorcycle at Zone 6, Lunzuran.

Initial investigation disclosed that four gunshots were heard by residents coming from the dimly lit part of Zone 6.

Moments later, they saw a speeding motorcycle with two men riding tandem and wearing red full face helmets coming from the scene.

Residents then found the victim bloodied on the ground. They brought him to the hospital.

Police were still working on both cases with the common objective of arresting the killers. — Dan Toribio Jr.
