A 24-year-old man was stabbed and killed by two persons in San Jose Gusu at dawn last Tuesday.

One of two suspects was arrested during a follow-up operation by men of the Investigation Section led by Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines.

The fatality was identified as Jayvourin Bermas, single. He sustained stab wounds in the body and died in the hospital.

Initial investigation disclosed that Bermas and some friends were attending a wake at Castañeda Drive,  San Jose Gusu when the incident happened.

Police said that Bermas left the group at the wake and proceeded to a dimly lit place to meet and unidentified friend.

However, moments later, Bermas was seen crawling while returning to the group at the wake. He was already wounded.

Bermas was rushed to the Brent Hospital where he expired while undergoing treatment.

Delumpines and his men conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of Ryan Lumisay Inzo in Lumiyap, Divisoria.

A certain Samy Gaga Inzo remains at large as of press time.

Ryan was taken to the police station and was detained pending the filing of charges against him and his companion. – Dan Toribio Jr.
