City initiates brgy dev’t, investment plan training PDF Print E-mail

The City Government through the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) is initiating the conduct of a 2-day lecture-training for village officials with the goal of providing a venue to synchronize the barangay development plan (BDP) with the plans prepared by the city.

The first day lecture was held yesterday, March 7 with barangay officials from District 1 attending the activity at the Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar.  The second lecture/training will be held March 12 at the same venue with District II barangay  officials in attendance.

Mayor Celso Lobregat in welcoming the participants yesterday, stressed that the activity will equip the barangay officials on drafting their BDP which is the official planning document wherein the problems, needs and aspirations of the respective communities are identified, prioritized and pursued on the basis of available resources. 

The lectures presided by personnel from the CPDO and City Budget Office are focused on the barangay development plan, Barangay development investment program and the annual investment program and bottoms-up budgeting approach.

Participants are made to submit their updated BDP, BDIP and AIP after the orientation and after convening their respective officials and members of the private sector for their priority projects to the CPDO.

Also present during the activity yesterday were City Budget Officer Virginia Gara and OIC-City DILG Director Mohammad Taha Arakama.
