The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Philippines Inc., Zamboanga Chapter will have its 31st Induction and Turn-Over Ceremonies today, March 9, 2013, 6:30 p.m. at the Roof Deck, Garden Orchid Hotel.

JCI Senate Philippines, Inc. National President JCI Sen. Hermin E. Arceo will be the guest of honor and inducting officer while JCI Senate Phils. Inc. Vice-President for Mindanao and former National Security Adviser for Mindanao JCI Sen. Jesus G. Dureza will be the charging officer. The occasion will also be graced by Mayor Celso L. Lobregat who will deliver an inspirational message.

To be inducted are: President – JCI Sen. Nathaniel “Nonong” Asuncion; Vice President – JCI Sen. Rodel “Doc” Agbulos; Secretary – JCI Sen. Melvin Gapol; Treasurer – JCI Sen. Cromwell Ong; PRO – JCI Sen. Norman West and Board of Directors:  JCI Sen. Reynaldo Lim (IPP), JCI Sen. Alan Alabata, JCI Sen. Efren Arañez, JCI Sen. Ric Baban and JCI Sen. Ernie Miranda.  

Asuncion, who was the 2003 LO president of JCI Zamboanga, is presently the executive assistant of the city mayor while JCI Sen. Rodel Agbulos, the 1999 LO president of JCI Zamboanga, is the city health officer.

The JCI Senate is an international organization of men and women who have received special recognition from their Junior Chamber International (JCI) Chapters. 

Individuals who have been in the JCI organization for quiet a number of years and whose membership brought pride and success at achieving the movement’s mission to which it was organized, may be awarded a lifetime Senatorship in Junior Chamber International bearing a unique membership number.

A senatorship is the highest international honor that can be given to a deserving JCI member.  It can be said that only 1 out of 1,000 JCI members becomes a senator.
