Man, 65, faces rap for rape try on teener PDF Print E-mail

The City Police Office’s Women and Children Protection Desk has forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office a case of violation of Republic Act 7610 against a 65-year-old man who tried to sexually abuse a teenager in a motel the other day.

Police identified the suspect as Seraffin Zamora y Carreon alias Pingay, a widow of Falcatan St., Tetuan.

A police report disclosed that Zamora met the teenager in a downtown area and offered her a ride on her way home in Callejon Drive, Guiwan.

However, instead of bringing the teenager home, Zamora took her to a motel in Canelar Moret. The teenager managed to escape and called her mother to report the incident.

The mother fetched her daughter then proceeded to the City Police Office to file a complaint.

Police officers accompanied the complainan to look for and arrest Zamora.

The Women and Children Desk took Zamora to the city prosecutor office for inquest.

Police said that Zamora availed of the 15-day waiver and was detained again at the central police station. – Dan Toribio Jr.
