The barangay chairman of Sinunoc in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur and three others are in hot water after they were tagged as the persons who killed a resident of the said place and buried his body  the other day.

A report reaching the Police Regional Office-9 in this city disclosed that around 5:30 a.m. a concerned resident informed the Dumingag Municipal Police Station through a text message that a body was found buried in Barangay Sinunoc, Dumingag.

Acting on the information, policemen coordinated with the Scene of the Crime Operative (SOCO) team led by SPO2 Juber P Arboiz together with Mr Reynalso Vasquez Jr, representative from RHU. They proceeded to the said place  to conduct ocular investigation.

The lawmen recovered the body buried in a vacant lot.

Investigators later learned that the body was that of Rudy Dodoyan, married. The SOCO team  exhumed the cadaver and a postmortem examination was conducted.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound at the back of the body.

Police also recovered a t-shirt owned by the victim; three slugs of unknown type of firearm and three spent shells of .45 caliber pistol.

Police said that based on the statement of the victim’s wife and son, the victim was beaten and shot by more or less four persons identified as Felix Bienes, barangay chairman of Sinunoc, Dumingag, Pejie Bienes, Danilo Landeza and Manuel Diakono, all residents of the same barangay.

Follow-up operations were carried out for the arrest of the suspects and the filing of charges against them in court. – Dan Toribio Jr.
